| Resumen : | El artículo intenta fundamentar epistemológicamente al diagnóstico médico. Para ello se introducen, primeramente, las grandes problemáticas que enfrenta la investigación médica, tal como la naturaleza de la enfermedad, su causa, su tratamiento y, naturalmente, su diagnóstico.
Para ello con analizar la noción de teoría en la concepción tradicional de la filosofía de la ciencia y su aplicación a las distintas etapas históricas de la medicina, definiéndose la noción de teoría médica como la unión de un plano más observacional de signos y síntomas, con un plano de alteraciones profundas del organismo.
Posteriormente, se introducen las distinciones de la concepción estructural de las teorías, mostrándose su mayor precisión y adecuación para comprender los problemas de la ciencia y, por lo tanto, de la medicina. Se presenta al diagnóstico médico como ciencia –y por lo tanto investigación- aplicada. Se utilizan las distinciones de la concepción estructural para establecer la estructura epistémica del diagnóstico médico y la función que cumple en el mismo, la noción de ejemplar paradigmático y de semejanzas entre ejemplares.
This article tries to analyze from an epistemological point of view the medical diagnosis. To do so, we introduce the discussion about the great problems of medical research, i.e. the nature of illness, its causes, its treatment, and of course, its diagnosis.
We will present the notion of theory in the traditional conception of philosophy of science, y its application to the different historical stages of medicine, defining the notion of medical theory as the link of an observational layer of signs and symptoms, to a layer of profound alterations of the organism.
Afterwards, we introduce the distinctions made by the structuralistic conception of theories, showing that they are more precise and adequate to understand the problems of science, and therefore, of medicine.
We claim that the medical diagnosis is a kind of applied science, and we use the structuralistic conception of theories to establish the epistemic structure of the medical diagnosis. We also use the notion of paradigmatic example and of resemblance between them and other cases, as a way to guide that applied research called medical diagnosis. |
