Somatización y elección de órgano: "Psicología y Neurociencias”

Abstract

Se presentan fragmentos del tratamiento psicológico de un joven asistido varios años. Llegó derivado por un neurólogo para que una psicoterapia pudiera ayudarlo a sobrellevar mejor sus menoscabos físicos. A los 3 meses de tratamiento hubo de relatar un trauma de adolescencia que mostraba una estrecha relación simbólica con los sitios corporales en los que sufría sus lesiones neurológicas. A partir de la evocación de esos acontecimientos sobrevino un cambio en la modalidad evolutiva de su enfermedad somática. Esta breve reseña clínica invita a considerar, una vez más, la repercusión y las precisiones que ciertos acontecimientos personales pueden llegar a cifrar sobre la materialidad del cuerpo. En un área de fronteras disciplinarias distintas propondremos algunos conocimientos actuales, procedentes del campo de las neurociencias, que puede aproximarnos a una mejor comprensión de otros casos similares a este.

Fragments of the psychological treatment of a young man assisted several years ago are presented. He arrived derived by a neurologist so that a psychotherapy could help him to cope with the physical impairments that he presented. After 3 months of treatment, he had to report a trauma of adolescence, which showed a close relationship with the corporal sites in which he suffered his neurological injuries. From the evocation of those events - about which he had never spoken before - a change occurred in the evolutionary modality of his somatic illness. This brief clinical review invites us to consider, once again, the repercussion and the precisions that certain personal events can come to cite about the materiality of the body. In order to a clinical material that is located in an area of different disciplinary boundaries, we propose the articulation between some knowledge of psychology with others that come from the field of neurosciences, so they can help us to better understand other similar cases.
