| Resumen: | El presente documento expone conceptos y fragmentos del análisis elaborado en la investigación enmarcada en la Maestría en Género y Políticas de Igualdad (FLACSO/Uruguay). En la misma se indagaron las principales causas del embarazo infantil en Uruguay y tuvo como pregunta central: ¿Cuáles son las principales causas del embarazo infantil, y cómo acciona el Estado uruguayo en el abordaje del tema, durante el período comprendido entre el 2016 y 2019? En el estudio se considera embarazo infantil en niñas menores de 15 años. Se recurrió a una metodología de tipo cualitativa, en base a la aplicación de entrevistas semi-dirigidas a informantes calificados con amplio reconocimiento en sus labores y conocimiento en el objeto a indagar, a revisión bibliográfica y documental. Se entrevistó a un total de diez profesionales, de diferentes disciplinas. Se utilizaron como categorías conceptuales los Estudios de Género. Sistema Sexo/Género, Infancia y Abuso sexual en la infancia. |
| Descripción: | This document presents concepts and fragments from the analysis elaborated in the research which was framed within the Master's Degree in Gender and Equality Politics (FLACSO/Uruguay). Through this investigation, the main causes of child pregnancy in Uruguay were inquired, and its central question was what the main causes of child pregnancy are, and the action that the Uruguayan State has taken towards the issue, during the period between 2016 and 2019. According to this investigation, infant pregnancy refers to girls under the age of 15 years old. A qualitative methodology was applied, based on the implementation of semi-directed interviews to highly qualified informants with wide knowledge of the object to be investigated, as well as bibliographic and documentary reviews. Thus, a total of ten professionals from different disciplines were interviewed. The categories of analysis being employed were the following; Gender Studies, Sex/Gender System, Childhood and Sexual Abuse in Childhood. |
