La representación-grupo y el poder en la cosmovisión orwelliana

Abstract

El autor analiza un fragmento de la novela 1984 (de George Orwell) con el objeto de estudiar diferentes tipos de poder, así como formas abusivas de ejercicio de dicho poder. Inicialmente, parte de diferenciar cuatro tipos de poder: legal, afectivo, cognitivo y económico. Luego, a través del análisis sistemático, destaca tres aspectos centrales: el problema del rumor, el dominio de la percepción y las interferencias en el mecanismo de la fuga.

The author analyzes a fragment of the novel 1984 (by George Orwell) in order to study different types of power, as well as improper forms of exercise of the above mentioned power. Initially, he classifies four types of power: legal, affective, cognitive and economic. Then, through systematic analysis, he emphasizes three central aspects: the problem of rumor, the domain of perception and the interferences in the mechanism of flight.
