Trauma, duelo e identidad

Abstract

La autora se interroga sobre las condiciones que permitirían al sujeto transitar situaciones de violencia social, potencialmente traumáticas, sin sufrir arrasamiento de la propia subjetividad. Propone una concepción del sujeto ligada al pensamiento de la complejidad, perteneciente a una trama social en fluir constante y en proceso de autoorganización. Desarrolla luego ideas relacionadas con el sentimiento de identidad y lo articula con pertenencia, considerando en particular cómo se ven afectadas las modalidades del pertenecer en la actual situación argentina. Examina también la cuestión del duelo y el trauma. Plantea, para concluir, que los efectos de la violencia social en el psiquismo difieren en tanto opera en cada caso un entramado singular de condiciones sociales, intersubjetivas e intrapsíquicas, es decir, la posibilidad elaborativa no se define exclusivamente a partir de la organización yoica previa. La subjetividad se ve afectada, ya sea bajo el modo de la alternación constructiva o de la ruptura generada por el trauma.

The present article discusses the conditions that would let the human being bear potentially traumatic situations of social violence without suffering his own subjectivity’s destruction. The paper expounds and then articulates concepts related to the feeling of identity and belonging, taking into account the way in which the modes of belonging have been altered due to the current situation in Argentina. It also examines aspects of mourning and trauma. Finally, it states the differences among the effects of social violence in psychism, since in each case a unique framework of social, intrapsychic and intersubjective conditions is involved, that is to say, the possibility of elaboration is not defined exclusively by the prior organization of the self. The subjectivity is then affected, either by the kind of constructive alteration or by the break generated by the trauma.
