Consideraciones epistemológicas sobre explicación y validación de hipótesis en psicoanálisis

Abstract

El propósito de este artículo es analizar algunas cuestiones concernientes a la explicación y la validación de hipótesis en la teoría psicoanalítica. Se argumenta, en primer lugar que el modelo de explicación estándar de tipo nomológico deductivo, es aplicable en gran medida a las explicaciones propuestas por Freud en su obra y se dan razones por las cuales la distinción entre razones y causas no constituye un obstáculo insalvable para la misma. Por otra parte, se analiza el problema que introduce el fenómeno de la sugestión en la validación de hipótesis y se propone un modelo en el cual dicho problema dejaría de presentarse.

The purpose of this article is to analyze some questions concerning the explanation and validation of hypotheses in psychoanalytic theory. It is argued, first of all, that the standard model of deductive nomological type explanation is largely applicable to the explanations proposed by Freud in his work. We have reasons to stand that the distinction between reasons and causes does not constitute an insurmountable obstacle to the same. On the other hand, the problem that introduces the phenomenon of suggestion in the validation of hypotheses is analyzed and a model is proposed which could cease to arise the problem .
