Efecto de la pandemia SARS-COVID-19 en la dinámica de la competitividad digital de los países

Abstract

El presente trabajo, analiza la dinámica de las puntuaciones del Índice de Competitividad Digital elaborado por el Centro de Competitividad Global del Institute of Managment and Devolpment (IMD). Se toma en consideración, las puntuaciones obtenidas por el Índice de Competitividad Digital de 60 países, para el periodo 2013-2020. Los resultados obtenidos, sugieren que la competitividad digital en los países analizados, ha crecido sostenidamente durante el periodo 2014-2019. Sin embargo, la crisis ocasionada por la pandemia por SARS-COVID-19 en el año 2020, ha generado una contracción significativa del nivel de competitividad digital general.

This paper analyzes the dynamics of the scores of the Digital Competitiveness Index prepared by the Center for Global Competitiveness of the Institute of Management and Devolpment (IMD). The scores obtained by the Digital Competitiveness Index of 60 countries, for the period 2013-2020, are taken into consideration. The results obtained suggest that digital competitiveness in the countries analyzed has grown steadily during the 2014-2019 period. However, the crisis caused by the SARS-COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 has generated a significant contraction in the level of general digital competitiveness.
